Arriva X32 Bus Service Stopped Due To Lack Of Customers
As of tomorrow you will no longer be able to use the X32 Arriva service to travel between Aberystwyth and Bangor.
The route has been pulled by one of Europe’s largest transport operators due to a lack of customers and as such has resulted in the loss of eight jobs.
The route was vital to many people without cars stopping in Machynlleth, Dolgellau, Porthmadog and Caernarfon en route to Bangor.
So ask yourself this. If one of Europe’s largest transport operators remove a service due to insufficient custom (i.e. ticket revenue) then how come two local operator’s in the shape of Lloyds Coaches and Evans Coaches have been able to step in and take over the same route?
Oh yes I forgot to mention that bit. The route is still going to be operating, but under the control of local businesses. That means you can still get from A to B on the same old route now known as T2, but please check your bus times as there will now be new link up’s and timetables to get used to.
Thanks for nothing Arriva! Independent local business shows the way forward once again!
