Surfing
The local surfing scene in Aberystwyth is strong, and thanks in part to a custom built reef nearby the area is hoping to become something of a mecca for surfers.
At present there are a small number of spots popular with local surfers depending on the conditions.
The new custom built reef in Borth as part of the sea defence project also looks to improve surf conditions overall in the area.
