Aberdyfi
Aberdyfi, known in English as Aberdovey, sits at the mouth of the Dyfi estuary, on the very edge of the Snowdonia border.
Although it is relatively close to Borth and Aberystwyth, the nature of the Dyfi estuary means you have to travel 18 miles in land to find a bridge over the river.
However, it is worth the trip as this quiet little fishing village boasts spectacular views over the estuary and up the Dyfi Valley.
For those travelling by Bus, connections are available from Machynlleth. For anyone travelling by train, connections are available from Dovey Junction, although there may be a long waiting period.
