Tregaron
Tregaron is a historic market town located to the south east of Aberystwyth.
The town sits on the River Brenig, which flows into the River Teifi, which has been known to flood in bad weather.
Tregaron lies at the other end of the Ystwyth cycle trail, which starts at Aberystwyth.
The town is well known locally for being the last resting place of a victorian elephant, who is buried in the town. The elephant is featured on some of the materials which can be found at the Ceredigion Museum in Aberystwyth.
Tregaron also hosts an annual Harness racing event, which is an important event in the calendar of many trotter racing enthusiasts and competitors.
