The Llanerchaeron Estate is one of the finest rare example of a self sufficient Welsh minor gentry estate.
The house itself dates back to the 1790′s, and was designed by John Nash who also designed the Castle House section of the Old College at Aberystwyth. The house has its own service courtyard, along with a dairy, brewery, laundry house and a salting house along with a kitchen garden.
If visiting in season you will find a range of produce available in the kitchen garden, and the house is currently a working organic farm, as well as being open to visitors.
There are also some beautiful gardens for you to explore, complete with an ornamental lake. As a working farm, dogs must be kept on leads at all times.
For more information, including current opening times, entry prices and any forthcoming events please see their website as is listed above.
