1. From Aberystwyth harbour follow the Rheidol Trail around the tidal area and past the pumping station until you pass underneath Trefechan Bridge.

4. After passing the car garage on your left bear left onto the A4120 as it climbs steeply up and away from Aberystwyth.
5. Continue to follow the road as it levels out beyond the caravan park, passing through the villages of Capel Seion and Pisgah, taking in the fantastic views of the Rheidol Valley below and to your left.
6. After passing through Pisgah you will eventually see a turning for Aberffrwd to your left.
7. Take the turning and enjoy the downhill slope of the country lane as it descends into the Rheidol Valley.
8. Upon crossing the railway line and entering the village bear right at the junction and continue to follow the road until you cross the bridge over the river Rheidol. There are gardens by the bridge for a brief rest if you need it, where you can watch the beautiful waterfall.
9. At the T junction bear left and follow the road for 3 miles until you reach Capel Bangor and the main road back into Aberystwyth.
10. At the junction bear left and carry on for 400 yards until you come to a country lane which drops away steeply from the main road.
11. Go down the country lane and across bridge over the river Rheidol and continue to follow the road for around 2 miles until you reach the rear of the industrial estate.
12. Continue straight on into the industrial estate, and follow the cycle trail signpost around 200 yards ahead down to your left.
13. Continue down the road until you reach the metal gate which brings you back onto the trail.
14. Go through the gate and continue on the trail round the cricket club and over the river until you reach the main road.
15. Cross the road and follow the trail as it goes behind the new housing estate at the edge of the river and then behind the police station and football pitch.
16. As the trail comes to an end at the car park bear left and then left again in 200 yards as you go back under Trefechan bridge and see the harbour come into view.
