3rd Aberystwyth Scout Group
Ever since they were founded by Baden Powell the scouts have been teaching morals and skills to young people across the UK.
The 3rd Aberystwyth Scout Group celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2010.
They hold regular meets for a wide age range including cubs, beavers, scouts and explorers.
The age range covered is as follows:
Beavers – 6 to 8 years
Cubs – 8 to 10 years
Scouts – 10 to 14 years
Explorers – 14 to 18 years
The scouts has been keen in recent years to challenege the old fashioned view of boys and tents, and by joining this worldwide organisation you can take part in amazing activities and adventures, making new friends and learning new skills.
There is no end to the wide range of things on offer, and it can be a really positive experience for young people to channel their energies into something positive. The scouts is also a very community focused organisation which looks to get involved and make a difference locally.
