Located some 15 miles inland from Aberystwyth, the Hafod Estate is set in the beautiful surroundings of the Cambrian Mountains. Occupying over 200 hectares of the stunning Ystwyth Valley, the land is jointly owned and cared for by the Hafod Trust and the Forestry Commission.
With a selection of walks, of varying lengths and difficulties, there is a footpath here to suit to most seasoned walker, or those out for a leisurely stroll. A map of all available walks, with further details, is available in the Hafod Estate car park, and pocket guides can also be purchased. Admission to the estate is free.
Also of note is the wonderful 18th century church, located by the car park, built by the owners of the Hafod estate for themselves and local mine workers alike. The church is often open to visitors, and has a very interesting history, as can be seen upon entering its interior.
