Everything Aberystwyth

Bay Radio is based in the students union building on Penglais Campus.

It is run by students, for students and is broadcast live to the town 24 hours a day; 7 days a week.

The station was founded in 1997 by Aberystwyth student Gareth Corbin and has been broadcasting ever since.




As well as sending the best music from across the globe to your ears via the airwaves of Aberystwyth, Bay Radio also organises regular events in the town. They are also on hand to help you play your demo tapes to the town, and promote your music events.


There are plenty of opportunities to get involved, whether your’re interested in presenting the show or working behind the scenes. They are always on the look out for a range of people including presenters, marketing and IT and DJs for live shows.


They have a regular meeting every Tuesday at 6:30pm in the Rosser Lounge, where you are welcome to come along and join in.
