This excellent Aberystwyth museum, set in the superb surroundings of the old edwardian theatre, has a wide variety of exhibits which showcase a variety of topics surrounding life in the area since the time of the dinosaurs, right through to the present day. It is said to be one of the “most beautiful museum interiors in Britain”.
Further to the regular exhibitions and many hundreds of artefacts, the museum also houses regular short term exhibits, both local and non local displays. Highlights include a perfectly reconstructed victorian cottage, along with hundreds of other items, many of which were donated to the museum by the local community.
